Two Blue Swallows

Picture
Inspired by the love of Marv & Anne Einhorn
Lyrics by Kate Power, Music with Steve Einhorn
Kate - MyaMoe 6-string Tenor Uke
Steve - Webber C-tuned Low-G Baritone Uke
Producer - Jon Neufeld
Portland Romance, Track 18
The melody to Redwood spun into lyrics for this melody Steve and I had been playing with one early morning at a family gathering on the Jersey shore. I sat on the beach and scratched out the words as birds swooped between a bunch of sandpipers and kids took an early surfing lesson. The inspiration for the lyric was charged by the love our parents shared, so deeply in love and close that no matter what came, and they held on to each other gladly for more than seventy years. This song is their metaphor.
